Travel Agency Recommendation

    Hey,

Not sure if this is in the right area so if it's not please move it. I don't know what the story with travel agents are these days. I have been in touch with 3-4 different ones about booking a weeks Sun holiday for about 15-17 people, mixture of couples and singles. We are all in our late 20's. I thought agents were having a tough time these days to get business? Everyone I have contacted has said give them a few days to get some prices and then nothing, this has been 2 weeks now. I left follow up messages and still nothing. I really thought they were crying out for business but I must be wrong.

So can anyone recommend any good agents?

    Cheers,

I used http://www.slatterytravel.ie/ 02531811 in fermoy, for a few bookings. good to deal with and helpful. They are my local agent but I wouldn't see what difference it would make where you are booking from.

I book a fair few group trips and getting everyone onto the same flight and into the same hotel/apartments can be a bit of a hassle. If an agent is asking for a few days to put something together, they're not fobbing you off, they do actually need to do a bit of work. If they're not following up with you then THAT is bad form.

Have you considered doing something yourself? The first time I booked a group trip it was a total nightmare, between organising as many as possible on the same flight and then finding a hotel to take the group I would have torn my hair out if I had any. After that, usually the only pain is trying to get the money out of everyone on time, but even then that's a minor one!

If you want help or more advice, let me know what you're looking for (via PM) and IF I get a bit of spare time, I'll see what I can come up with for you.

Yeah some travel agencies just dont bother ... especially with replying to emails.

www.latedeals.ie are the shop front for an Irish travel agency. They have good deals and I was able to get quotes on the spot. There number is 0818 212 919
