ICAI US GAAP course

    Hi all,

    Does anybody have any experience or thoughts on the US GAAP diploma run by the ICAI?

    Working on a few US GAAP audits this year and so can probably get the firm to cover the costs but am thinking longer term. Looking into moving to the US sometime in the next 18 months and just wondering how much will it stand to me over there?

    Specifically is this course recognised in anyway in the US?

    Or does anybody have any experience with the ICAI further education / diplomas in general? are the courses well structured / well recognised in the work place / outside Ireland?
