TOM McEllistrim has warned protesting civil servants that they will face further cuts if they vote for another candidate in the next general election.
This was the Kerry North TD’s response to a pledge by protesting public servants that they’ll vote him out of office at the next election. He made the comments as he addressed members of the Kerry Public Service Workers’ Alliance (KPWSA), who staged a picket at his Tralee constituency clinic on Saturday.

Further public service cuts if we vote for the opposition?

Sounds like this man should work for the opposition. Cutting down the flak is what the public are crying for.

AFAIK Ned O'Keefe told a village that he would not support their drive for a new school since they never bothered voting for him in any great numbers.

 Why does every political issue in 25 counties of this country sooner or later turn into "Us vs. those b@stards in Dublin" ???

Maybe it's about time we had a Dublin party to represent Dublin people, spend Dublin's taxes in Dublin and see how the rest of yiz would like it then :)

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Or its time to use a list system and remove the parish pump from national politics for good.
