how to delete corrupt and unreadable file.

    Any handy free software to do this? i imagine I could do it in safe mode but anybody know any s/w? Cheers

    I use "Unlocker" too - and as a back-up I use the "Assassin" tool in Malwarebytes free Malware app.

    boot onto a live linux cd/dvd and delete it that way, or do the above.

    Unlocker never (rarely anyway) fails. Safe Mode should do the trick too. Also check the Process tab in Task Manager in case the file is in use.

    unlocker couldn't delete it, Assassin said it deleted it but didn't, nice design :p

    WIll try killbox and if not then safemode/chkdisk/linux

    Does unlocker work on Win7 64bit?

    Try deleting it in safe mode from a command prompt.
