Is it just me or are all the candidates in the flashes are having a better live? There all better off without Jacobs influence. On thing that i always thought was weird bout Sayid and Jacobs meeting was the fact that Jacob left Sayid miss's get killed by the car, if he truly is good/the light wud he not of saved her from that faith. now i know people are gonna say Sayid had to lose her in order to bring him to the island but surely a being of Jacobs power cud of done the same without her dying.

It will be interesting to see what happened to Sayid in these new flashes.

Yeah they're beginning to bring in a doubt that Jacob is that good. He may be just trying to get out of game himself but has to do it by finding a replacement so he doesn't care too much about how the lives he influences turn out as long at they come to the island.

Yeah I agree, but I don't think "Oooh turns out Jacob is bad and MIB is good" is going to be a suitable twist at the end of the series because people are starting to suspect that now.

Although I don't necessarily think that it has to be either Jacob=good MIB=bad or Jacob=bad MIB=good

But it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

In the flash sideways, Kate isn't any better off is she? Hurley seems to be. And Ben. It's a bit of a mixed bag with Locke, however, as he seems more at peace when he meets Jack at the airport and I know he has Helen and his dad, but there is still frustration and lack of faith.

So it's kind of confusing. Are they better off in the alt timeline? Well some are, some aren't.

Where does Jacob and MIB fit into the alt timeline if the island has sunk?

Locke is far better off. The smile on his face when in school was a rather poignant contrast to his burial on the island.

Who says that Jacob hasn't visited the characters in the alt-timeline? If it's true that the timelines diverted in 1977, then Sawyer at the very least saw Jacob before that. According to Lostpedia, he was born in 1968 and his parents died when he was 8 so in 1976, and that was the time Jacob visited him.

personally i don't think its gonna come down to good and evil, rather i think it will come down to free will and choice. All along people have been following Jacob blindly with as much as a hint of a reason. now we have MIB recruiting folk and evil or not hes given both Richard and Sawyer the choice join him or not (or at least thats how it appears for now).

i don't think that either Jacob or MIB are either good or evil they both made some choices in there life that put the where they are today. yeah MIB plotted to kill Jacob, beat Richard to a pulp and so on but nobody is asking one of the most important question when it comes to a murder, what was MIB's motive.
