Should I get new discs & pads?

I've been getting horrible vibrations braking above 40mph and I'm putting it down to a warped disc. Bushes, balljoints etc have all been replaced recently.

Took the car down to one of those tyre places to see might i need the wheels balancing. They gave the brakes a look over and concluded that my discs were over heating (blueish colour) and glazed over.

The front discs have a small maybe 1-2mm lip on the edge of them and the rear discs (solid) a little more than that.

My father agrees that my discs do look like they were over heating and that they are glazed over and thinks I should take them to get skimmed or milled flat again.

My question is, should I get new discs/pads or new pads and a skim?

to get that heat into them the discs are severely worn and cant disipate the heat or you have a sticking brake caliper.
after driving for a while is one sides wheel hotter than the other?

Is this the E30? If so, discs are £16-£22 according to gsf. No sense in skimming at that kind of price, just replace them imo.

I'm pretty sure I have sticking callipers, looking into getting a kit to rebuild them or new/refurbished callipers. You mentioning it has given me enough confirmation of them sticking as I was thinking myself. The car was parked up for about 6months before I started driving it which could be the cause for that I think?

EDIT: yep E30. Been looking on the GSF/ECP site for discs and idd they aren't that expensive.

GSF prices discs per disc on the site. Got a price for a pair of them for around 50quid for just fronts.
