Right, so I've swallowed my pride and decided to ask for your help.

Essentially my Bar-10 just constantly misfeeds, tried replacing the hop, changing the spring that pushes the horseshoe thing down, pretty much everything, even different mags and BB's, any advice?
    Cheers,
    Ger.

Is the cocking bolt going all the way forward ?

    Yarp.

    /End Hot Fuzz reference.

The whole bolt assembly is grand, the problems lies with the hop chamber. However, finding it, is a pain in the hole.

    It might be magazine catch.

ger it's located on the end of the barrel nearest the receiver ( assuming you assymbled it correctly).
Is the barrel seated properly and not too far forward?

Was thinking that myself, I'll have another bash at it tomorrow.

The tables have turned Lefty :P

Make sure the mag catch is sitting right and assembled right, maybe replace the spring with a spring from a pen? Heard it works. Also check the part were the mag catch goes into the mag, have a look for a bit of wear.

I'm thinking its the mag catch, cos if it's not that, I'm totally at a loss, which is rare for me...

Does it sound like a dull thud when it misfeeds? have you opened the cylinder and checked that?

it can sometimes be a rubber buffer that they install on the cylinder head that comes loose and blocks the flow of air. firing it and cocking it can bring it back with the piston and this is why you can get a clean shot at times. check that out and try a different mag too,
Be sure the receiver is firmly in place on the stock so the mag goes in as far as its supposed to.,:)

    You're late :P
It doesn't, it'll either fire 3 BB's at a time, or empty a mag into the chamber. The buffer is firmly in place, tried it with three different mags and the reciever is in place properly.

if bbs are filling your barrel then the hopup rubber is the culprit, its not preventing them from getting past. Have a look into the magwell where the bbs feed and look on the upper wall where they will come into contact with the hopup mech (with the bolt cocked) and see if there's any damage or misformed bits etc. it needs to be nice and smooth there otherwise the bb can be pushed to the side/front and the pressure of the ones behind it help it through, what you can do it get a sharp drill bit and put a small indentation there if ya like and it helps to keep the bb centred so it wont move until the nozzle pushes it into the hopup.,:)

might also be worth checking to see that the tappet plate is operating correctly and not locking back - could lead to similar symptoms.

Y'know....if you had just left it at "I'm awesome", and not updated with the chrono reading, we'd have believed you were awesome.

    Now I'm just disappointed :(
