It could be very difficult to find anyone with intimate working detail of the Dutch tax system, at my desk in work I have a wee overview book of all the different jurisdictions but I'm at home today so can't help you.

What type of tax are you concerned about- Income tax? CGT? Corporation tax?

They do have a double taxation treaty with Ireland though if that helps.

It would be income tax I would be interested in. Its in relation to a job in the Netherlands I am in talks with a company about.

People are telling me that there is a terrible tax system over there and rates are quite high etc? Is it anything similiar to the type of tax bands we have here in Ireland?

    1st band € 18.218 (33,45 %)
    2nd band € 14.520 (41,95 %)
    3rd band € 21.629 (42%)
    4th band (52%)

But there won't be an income levy :)

It's very difficult to compare income between countries, even in cities, cost of living is higher in Dublin city centre than it is on craggy island.

Haha, that wouldnt be tough one now! In general, though, how would the cost of living in holland compare to Ireland (im sure it differs from region to region as it does in Ireland)

Those tax bands sesm incredibly high in comparision to Ireland :(:(
