    Hello,

Just setting up another blog and wondering which is better/easier for search engines to find, Blogger or Wordpress?

    Thanks

Well I always heard Wordpress was better when it comes to SEO.

I've not used blogger, but wordpress is pretty good for seo.

I'd expect that the search engines are going to like both, since you are indicating that you're intending to put up content regularly.

The actual content is going to matter more than the platform, so I'd choose whichever you are more comfortable with.

    Cheers,
    Andy

personally I have found that I get amazing returns from google, and i think this is because I have a blogger site. Google own blogger so it only makes sense they'd give it the advantage, I've rarely seen a wordpress hosted blog on first page of google...

I contemplated leaving before because wordpress is better, but chose not to for this reason

For a site to come in the first page of Google is down to SEO and the other sites that appear under the same keyword search. Whether you use Blogger or Wordpress wont make a difference its how you implement it. If you dont have search engine friendly urls, proper page titles and meta tags then your site wont do well.

To answer the OP's original question: I don't think anyone can answer it.

If for example, you made a site with exactly the same content, same meta tags, same url structure, same keywords, etc... Which would appear higher in Google PageRank? That would be a great experiment. Who's software lends itself to better SEO?

Of course, you probably want your own domain (rather than x.blogspot.com or x.wordpress.com). I'm inclined to favor WordPress personally. But you should know the software has less to do with your PageRank than you do. How you write, how you set tags, structure, etc. will determine your SEO.
