Hey just wondering if anyone here has any tips or experience in approaching businesses for event sponsorship?

Is this event going to benefit anybody in business.
Will it draw a crowd to the locality.
Touch base with the local publicans .If it draws extra business they usually put up some money.
A way to do it is to get them to bring the Drink suppliers in .The suppliers usually throw in a few keggs or cases of drink. The publican gives the cost price value of the drink to the event committee .Everybody is happy. The publican gets the profit from the kegs or bottles .The committee get the sponsorship. The brewery write the keg off as promotional material. So its a win win scenario.Seen it done and it works .The legality of it is questionable maybe.
