    Wasn't she the one who was smacked off-camera by the presenter who's now on ITV news? I can't think of his name , but when it happened my thoughts were that she probably deserved it... ... :p

    Because Kay Burley is a Catholic herself.

    And even if she wasn't, its' not a minor holiday. Many other non-Catholics would be aware of what happens on Ash Wednesday. If she wasn't a Catholic, it's something you would expect the anchor on an internation news channel to know about. It's their responsibility to have a good general knowledge base.
