i got one online a while back,(about 7 months ago) i think its called a shavepit. it doesn't actually sharpen the blades, just cleans them but it does make a world of difference to a dull blade and pays for itself over time considering how expensive blades now are.

i bought it on 4men.ie cost under 20euro as far as i can remember

I think this is a more suitable forum for shaving related questions as it a forum about shaving - and hats. :)

Yep. If the topic is shaving (or NOT shaving) then this is the forum. Tis the dogs dangly bits. From disposables to cutthroats, from waxing your 'tashe to discussions on the finer points of badgerhair brushes this is the place to be. If it involves dragging a blade across your face then the Facial Hair and Hats forum is it.

Sorry I can't add to your oriningal query as I've never used a Mach. I do however remember the theorys about leaving razor blades inside small pyramids to supposedly keep them sharp. Something about the awesome power of Pyramids.
I'd rather just change my double edge blade after 6 to 12 uses. Cheap as chips.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Anyone know if you can buy the RazorPit in the shops, specifically in Dublin?
