    Hey

    just ordered a 60cm dish

    anyone recoomend a easy set up set top reciever

    are dreambox hard to set up - for a total noob

    appreciate any help

    Technomate TM5200 are very easy setup. Quite a good menu system IMO and generally quite reliable. Also has USB socket for recording onto USB pendrive or external HDD.

    I've no experience on Dreambox or any other Linux box to give opinion on those, though I'm sure somebody here will :)

    Agree with byte on the TM5200.

    I can also vouch for the TM5400, which has a CI slot also.
    USB record feature on both is easy to use.

    No, it has no LAN port.

    I currently have the TM6900 Super, which does have a LAN port, though I've never found a use for it.

    If you want one with LAN connectivity, I guess it'd be hard to ignore Dreambox or perhaps Azbox?

    Depends on what you wish to achieve.

    Technomate linux receivers are very good.
    No problems with remote like you can have with Dm500 clones

    I got a Tm500 from Steve , few posts back up. Great receiver. Very easy to use.

    My DM500S delivered this mornig - dish going up Saturday

    Anybody avail to set DM up -( south Dub for a fee of course) - take me a few days I would imagine judging by all the forums I've been reading
