Anyone know anything about these? I may or may not have seen a pair for cheap somewhere...

They look really interesting, like a collector's item, but they also seem to do everything you'd want them to. Would they be worth picking up?

did you see them on gumtree by any chance? someone had been trying to sell them on the site for about a year:D i remember my friend had one years ago and he paid mental money for it. id say their fairly rubbish compared to todays standard of cdjs. Could be cool tho if your going for the retro look.

I wouldn't really bother getting them to DJ with tbh, they would be kinda cool as a collectors item since they were the first CDJs...but that's about it imo.

What do you think's wrong with them? Missing functions or just unreliability? I'd only use them at home, I'm a digital DJ so I'd use them to beatmatch, and the use the club's CDJs, and then I could keep them for the novelty.

It really depends on how much you can get them for and how much you're willing to spend. Personally, I would never buy such old, redundant technology. Save up a bit more and get the CDJ 400s at least.

Ah but a pair of 400s are over 900, that's over ten times what I can get these for!

Why not, For the bid you put it on them you can't go wrong if your intention is what you say it is, just to mess around and use at home.
