Have backed Peddlars Cross for this ages ago at 33s and 20s but I do think the 4/1 about Rite of Passage (available at Ladbrokes) will be gone by the morning. I have backed the horse as cover, but every year about this time the picture becomes a little clearer and one or two favourites suddenly become overpriced. They might not all win, but I can see Rite of Passage being a better backed horse than Dunguib at the meeting itself and be the true Irish banker. I predict it will be 2/1 or less as there are fewer opportunities for English horses to appear out of the woodwork. I noticed at lunch that he has shortened up in some bookies today. If you fancy the horse, I'd take teh price now.

I also think it's a fairer price than dunguib too

Is he running again before the festival?
Ive also heard noises about him being kept for a flat campaign?

I certainly wouldnt be taking 2's with a maiden hurdle victory being all hes done so far but it does look a pretty horrible year for novice hurdlers.

Beating Healy's Bar easily is a very high level of form for a novice.

has always looked a high class horse and weld is on record of saying he reckons he'd be be at least a group 2 horse on the flat. I just can't get Weld's Cheltenham record out of my mind!

I'd still be the type to watch rather than bet on a novice race at Cheltenham, particularly a novice hurdle.
If he could be a group 2 on the flat would he not send him there?
Interesting to see what distance. A leger distance? A gold cup at ascot?

Didnt know he was running today, just watched the replay, pretty impressive.

Ladbrokes have cut to 7/2 already.

That has me sorted for the meeting. 33/1 and 20/1. Thought he might struggle for a place at the turn in. Rite Of Passage maybe positioned too far back and came a little early, but wouldnt have made any difference. Get in.

    Nice one.

Was on Finians Rainbow, travelled well but emptied quickly.
