    Hi everyone,

If you are popping down for any of the tournaments this weekend please let me know so that I can arrange to have enough staff, and arrange for food. I don't want to be caught short.

    Hi,

    The prizes have arrived,

Video recording sunglasses with built in 2GB memory.

Now you can record your entire poker session and look back and analyse where you went wrong or right.

    I think it's a really cool prize,

    John.

Just in from a profitable weekend of poker in Santry.
Was in a dilemma earlier on Sunday evening whether to head into SE of go to Santry.

On Friday made the heads up with a 5 to 1 chip lead at 1:30. I offered a chop the money for 1st & 2nd but I would take the two other prizes (Sunglasses & 55 Euro Buy-in for Sunday). He agreed but wanted to play 3 hands for the 55 Euro buy in which I felt was unfair and declined.

Shortly afterwards I was elated for 30 seconds when I checked (with Aces) & he called all-in with K 8 but then I knew things were not going to go my way when he made a straight with the 8. I lost the next 3 races in a row even though I was ahead pre-flop. That’s the Poker Gods for you.
    Finished up around 2:30

Saturday was knackered – should have stayed home – 3rd person eliminated

Sunday made heads up slightly behind in Chips, Agreed equal chop of money for 1st & 2nd and played one hand for the glasses. Lost another race when my pair of 7s failed to beat A J when A J X appeared on the flop.

Still an enjoyable weekend of Poker - Thanks to John & his staff.
