Irish Government Response to Fake Passport Controversy

    *Breaking News*

    In response to growing international controversy over the fake Irish passports used by members of an assassination sqaud in Dubai, and speculation of Israel's secret service involvement, the Irish government have released the following statement:

    Irish minister for foreign affairs Michael Martin said tonight that he didn't wish to get into a diplomatic row over the matter as although the passports were fake, the holders could have actually been plastic paddies. Mary Coughlan said that it wasn't her fault they went to work abroad as many people do for pleasure and Martin Cullen, minister for art, sport and tourism said that he was looking into whether they would be eligible to play for Ireland the next time they meet the French soccer team.

    George Lee stated that if Enda Kenny had let him take Charlie Bird's job in Washington as well as a place on the shadow cabinet he would have changed the World and none of this would have happened.
    Willie O'Dee refused to comment saying if the matter came to the high court he would give evidence that Deidre de Burca was never promised a cushy job in Europe.

    Meanwhile an oblivious Brian Cowen said that he would not let this affect NAMA.

    What?? So you are happy with your governmet are you? If we started a thread in the sillyness our government get up to while they should be doing the right thing then this site could not handle the traffic!! Wake up and smell the coffee

    So now according to RTE news the government has said that the Irish passport numbers were genuine, whereas yesterday they said no such passport numbers existed.

    Shows the incredulous incompetence of our government ministers.
