Is there any way of limiting what the kids watch on the Net on a PS3?
Yes I can limit the Net to a sign on password but would like them to use it without being there but within certain limits?
There are limits for DVD's and Games but can't see to find anything for the Net.

Look into setting up www.opendns.com with your router.

Although on closer inspection the opendns thing looks good, you wouldnt be locking down the ps3 you would be locking down all pc's, laptop, ipods, consoles.
Am i right in saying that?

Some routers will do this for you.

I am on UPC and there is a parental control function on the cisco router. I have never used it but you could look in to similar functions on other brands of router depending on your provider.

Screen shot of cisco one below

That's pretty good actually but you would need to know the certain sites you need to block.
Sorry for the RTFM comment, very unhelpful

PS3 has an online manual that's accessible through the network tab on the XMB.

Sure but I wanted to put the controls in place before I connected the PS3 up to the Net.

Surely you could alter the network settings after you use the manual? Setting up the network isn't a once off thing.
