If you had the choice, would you pick a job with a decent salary but was only temporary with no guarantee of being made permanent or a job that you were permanent but less money?

i think it depends on personal circumstances & your stage of career etc. but at the moment i would go for permanent if i was as happy with the permanent job as the other offer & there were opportunities for promotion etc. I have a mortgage & bills though so permanent would be a big issue.

Depends on all sorts of factors, but if it were me at this exact stage in my life I'd take a chance with the no guarantees temporary job.

Why? Because I think I'm good enough that they'd want to keep me on, and I like money.

In the current climate, I would personally take the permanent job because it is better to be working, having a steady income stream and gaining work experience than to be on the dole. It's not easy to find a job when there are so many other people competing with you for one. If you don't like your current job and or pay, you can always keep looking for another better one.

Definitly the permanent job, unless it really really made me very unhappy.
