    just wondering why the course is only opened April to Oct .

    was thinking of heading down in the off season to see if i could get a cheap rate

    The winter months are too ferocious on the course. Their 16th green gets washed away every winter or so, and it's 200 feet up the cliff face. I don't think you'd fancy your chances.

    its probably one of the wildest spots in europe during the winter. You can book in april for a society for 75 euro per head, well worth it and on a good day its the best spot in the country for a game.

    Even at €75 for a society, it is still expensive . . . regardless of what they used to charge in the good times.
