American history you only really need the case studies (same with Politics in Northern Ireland).

As for the other two, study the case studies and the chapters around them, make notes on them and try remember it like a story.

For example: "Class Enemies" lead to Stalins paranoia - lead to Ryutins article - lead to Kirovs murder - lead to arrests - lead to Show Trials.

If we take that, it's the general lead up to the Show Trials, so if you find it hard to remember, maybe do something like this: PRKAS (Paranoia, Ryutin, Kirov, Arrests, Show Trials. Think of PRKAS as a word and in an exam, remember PRKAS to give you the general story, y'know.

Worth a try I guess, if you're out of ideas.

The books that books that aren't related to your special topic can be divided... there's a system in use with History -Each of the books is divided into 3 topics, you only need to cover 2 from each book! Except the special topic one. It really cuts down the work load, once you have those sections covered well you're sorted. My teacher advocated this and of the 15 in my class (including me!!) 7 of us got A1s, 4 got A2s and the rest got B1s... It's pretty solid :) I'm not sure what cycle you're in now, but the course changes every 2 years, so if you're doing the B course and somethin major wasn't covered last year... you can pretty much guess it'll come up! Like I was a b cycle, and Hitler didn't appear anywhere in the A cycle, and then in the exam Hitler did come up :)

Any other questions just message me or somethin, I'd glad to be of help :):)

    Hello there
Did you mean just do the culture and economic sections for example and not do the general history section for example

By special topic I mean the documents question!
By sections I mean, on the contents page of your history book, it should be divided into 3, General, Social & Economic - the exam must cover 2 sections from each of the 3 books (not including the one for the documents question).

So, learn 2 sections from each of your books VERY WELL and you are covered.
I also found it helpful to have flash cards with points on each.

I'm sure your teachers have spent time going through the marking scheme with you, just try to have 4 or 5 factual points in each paragraph for maximum marks, as well as an introduction and conclusion.

Hope the study is going well, feel free to PM me!!
