I see that the Irish Indo are doing a deal where you collect 5 tokens and you can get setanta sports free for 2 months. Does anyone have todays edition of the Indo, if so can you tell me which letter is printed as todays token.

Just be careful. It is a lot easier to sign up for 2 months free than it is to cancel when you start paying subsequently.

I read that offer. Its 2 months for €5.
If you apply, you will be contacted by a sales rep. He will sign you up for the full contract but discounting it to €5 for 2 months. It will revert back to full cost after that. They also require the full 30 days notice if you wish to cancel. This will catch alot of people.
Some people will not realise that they need to cancel it and will only go about it once they get charged for the 3rd month. They will have to give 30 days notice so they will end up paying for 2 full months that they didnt want.
If you want this for just five euro, I think you would need to give them notice 30 days into the free period so that they can cancel it at 60 days

Yea and you can get it in the post office when you pay or part pay

I think that offer is finished and it was for 3 months free. I was hoping to see some decent UEFA cup games on ESPN last night but the games were not transmitted even though they were available for UPC subscribers. Very shoddy service. Not sure why Sky/ESPN did not show them but will follow it up. Anyone else have the same problem?

Setanta would have the right so they make ESPN block them selfs to Ireland... Channel 4 have to do teh same with glee and so on..

Thanks for that. I still think it is a bit unfair if they are shown on UPC. Looking at skyireland.ie however they do not claim to show UEFA Cup matches on ESPN as part of the deal :(

Yeah, cheers i read the small print so as long as i give my notice to cancel within the first 30 days i should be ok.
Admittedly a lot of people will be caught out but for anyone who does take up this offer i think you should set a reminder on your moblile about cancelling.

Not bad for 5 euro, if it was that a month I would almost consider getting it!

something to beware of with this offer and the previous an post one... i rang up today day 60 to cancel(i am on the anpost one) and they told me they were gonna take a full month out on april 15th( the billing date) because i was outside my 30days notice by 1 day. they dont bill partial months!!!

well needless to say after 5 minutes of insisting on speaking to a supervisor which the person wouldnt let me speak to they saw my point of view and agreed to not debit it but would give me it for 5euro a month for 3 months if i wanted. last time i check my maths april 15th is 30 days from today and not april 16th as the setanta rep tried to tell me.

ps it was hilarious trying to explain to the setanta rep that i could see most of all the sport i wanted on itv/utv/bbc and s4c that setanta said was exclusive...he said oh but it was exclusive to setanta and they shouldnt be showing it anywhere else..

Rang Setanta to give my 30 days notice to cancel. They offered me a deal where i get setanta for the next 3 months at 5 euro per month. Decided not to take them up on the offer as the football season is ending shortly.

I do wonder if they realise that if it was €5 per month for everyone they might actually get some more subscribers.
