Reply to laptop I have advertised :

"Hiya thanks for your quick response, i really want to buy this item off you but i want it for my friend who has just been posted to West Africa on a training course, i want to send it as a Birthday Present, i would have loved to come for the collection and post it myself but I'm not in the UK presently, I'm in Finland with my boss on a business trip, so I'll really be happy if you can help me out. I will be offering you £50 for the postage cost.... kindly reply me with a PayPal money request for the total cost of the item plus the postage cost that I'm offering and I'll make the payment asap. I hope to read from you soon."

How can sending a Paypal money request bite you ?Or do they just say "Oh Paypal isnt working for me send me your bank details etc "

Stolen Cards usually and you'll get a chargeback on your PayPal account.

Money will show in your PayPal account for three days but you can't touch it.

You think all is fine until PayPal email you informing you of the chargeback.

That's why so many sellers say NO AFRICA etc in their Item Description.

    Good forum here:

They steal your soul when you send the money request.

Usually, they'll take the item you're selling but not pay you for it.

It's easy. You take their money but instead of posting the laptop to West Africa you just send a bottle of water wrapped in a plastic bag.

They can ask you to send the laptop to a different address which is not his Paypal address. Then he can file NR (non-receipt) and because you didnt send it to his Paypal address he will get refunded.
I'd say thats what he is trying to do.

at a guess the person you "sent" it to has no idea they are receiving .... so you are not sending it to the buyer ....

the buyer then initiates a "I havent received my item" claim ..... you say you sent it.... paypal look at the address and say you sent the item to the wrong person/place.

if you say the buyer asked you to send it to X person at Y address then the buyer says he/she didnt and you changed a message that they sent you.

blah blah blah ...at least thats how I would do it if it was my scam.

And get bad feedback, are ya mad? :p

I once logged into my Ebay account and seen that the night before I had sold 25 laptops at £1,200 a pop :)

The guy had even changed my PayPal and Email details to his.

    This is not a scam

I personally know this laptop will be sent to the family of a former African Royal family member.

If you dont get your money or there are any issues with payment after you send it, just send your your bank account and sort code numbers to the person you delivered the laptop. They will have someone look after payment
