    Sup folks.

(hope this is posted in the correct section!)

Just wondering if anyone on here could recommend a studio anywhere in Ireland - location not important - that would have a very good reputation for recording metal bands?

We're aiming to record a four track EP over a long weekend.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated....

    Heya

Sorry to not address the primary purpose of your post but just wanted to say, that I'd advise you not to spend two days on 4 tracks. I'm not sure if you've been in studio before but it's really time consuming.

IMO, it's far more beneficial to spend as much time on one/(maybe) two tracks and getting them to sound the best they can instead of having more tracks which end up sounding rushed / just not right.

In my experience, The more time you spend getting even the smallest parts perfect will pay dividents in the end. More time will give you the chance to layer things as well as 'write on the fly'- switching around parts which don't seem right once you hear them back amongst the mix of all the other instruments.

Anyway, Best of luck with finding a studio and with the recording itself.

Mick Richards out in Trackmix based in Blanchardstown (Dublin 15) used to do a lot of metal bands.

Not sure if still up and running these recessionary days

Give Mick a shout as Seany said. He's the best around for the heavier stuff.
