    www.fas.ie

They're work placement programs available. If you see one that you're interested in then pop in to your local fas office and they'll give you further details on it.

what area of IT are looking for experience in ?

when I checked with FAS they had nothing just 1 position for web developer.
    nothing else .

you best chance is to call to local IT companys and just ask them could they give you some work experience.

I am looking for experience as a Network Administrator.

just have to call to some techie companys and ask them if you would give you experience. hard to find it in that area companies don't want people with out experience at their networks.

if you havent already you should also look into getting certified
    comptia N+ and server +
    MCSE/MCSA
70-284 :: Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
70-290 :: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment
70-291 :: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure

the MS may have being updated since these ones
    and some Cisco Certifications

having some of these behind your built will increase your chances

Great, solid advice there. I know the A+ is a bit of a mickey mouse course, but its no harm to have just to add it to the CV. If you are already faily knowledgable you can just go and sit the exam without any need for studying (Yes, its that easy)
