Are LHD and RHD van parts compatible?

    Hi All,

    I’m thinking of buying a left hand drive Ford Transit (camper van). Just a query, are dismantled parts for a right hand drive Ford Transit compatible with those of a left hand drive. I’m concerned that all parts will be mirror imagined and hence many may not compatible.

    Any help with the above will be greatly appreciated. Thanks In Advance for all responses.

    Things like the steering rack wont be compatible. Most things will be though as they will be in the same position whether the van is LHD or RHD.

    Anything you need can be ordered easily from Germany etc

    An irish Ford dealer can order any part , once they have the chassis number .
