    Hi,
Apologies if this is a repeat question.

I got my current policy while I was unemployed. Is it worth contacting the insurance company now that I have permanent full-time employment?

I have heard in certain cases that doing this can increase your premium.

    Thanks in advance.

Personally I would inform my insurance company of anything that might be relevant.

Never heard of this before. Sure when you take out private ins isn't it for personal use and getting you to and from work?

Some professions attract a higher premium, so even if any policy covers you for commuting to work, you still need to declare what that profession is.

You are only obliged to notify your insurers at renewal of the alteration in your circumstances unless your employment affects the usage of your car. i.e. using it in connection with your occupation
