    can anyone please post a few places that they know of in the north that may be selling cheap products such as skirting and doors and any building providers for velux windows and anything like that.

    Lowdens in Derry or JP Corry's also in Derry. Like all builders merchants whatever they quote you bargain down hard. I have bought stuff off both these two and the difference between these on the same product is shocking. By the way, if you have a southern VAT number you're laughing.
