first time DE shaving info?

    Hi,

    Im thinking of making the move from gillette blades to these double edged blades,i have been reading some of the forums and they sound pretty good,what sort of kit would you recommend for starting out,dont know anything about them,is it tricky? do u cut urself lots first time round? :)

    all you really need is a razor, some shaving soap/cream and a brush to start with, then if you get SAD (shaving aquisition disorder) you'll wind up buying a whole load more.

    for technique have a look at mantic59's video's on youtube, they're very good. You will get a few nicks but not as many as you may think. a vital bit of kit is an alum block or styptc pencil, this will help stop the bleeding if you do give yourself a little cut, with no need for little bits of toilet paper.

    have a look at chris' site he has great stuff at very good prices and quick delivery.

    and finally make the jump, once you do you'll never go back.
