Real small venues around dublin?

Hows it goin?

Does anybody know of any real small venues around Dublin to use for Dj gigs? I know there is the twisted pepper mezz, Kennedys, the Turks head and a couple other places being used regularly at he moment by locals to run there nites out of! There all a bit hard to break into if ur starting out!

Just wondering if anybody knows any good spots that they might have previously used to get a small night going!

Looking for small capacity type places say 15-30 people!

Well anyway if have any advice that would be cool

Jaysus! Most function rooms would hold twice that. Wouldn't be worth anybody's time to put a barman on/clean the jacks for 30 people. IMO btw. For 15 - 30 you might be better off booking a room or suite in a hotel.

Melody bar and Mischief (Blue Note) both Capel Street hold about 60-80.
You'd be hard pushed to find a smaller venue where you don't have to supply your own sound system.

Not sure if they stilll have gigs in it but the Belvedere Hotel used to hold gigs & would be about 50 people comfortably in the room downstairs.......

The Thomas Head in Christchurch, it has a small basement. Its opposite the Spar on the same side of the road as NCAD, about five mins walk from Christchurch Cathedral.

Yeah this, the mezz is a nice spot, it's very small and theres CDJ 1000s and a DJM 800 mixer up there.

Few off the top of my head,

Downstairs in Murray's on O'Connell street, I know there's a small clubnight being run there, called Distortion.

Upstairs in Doyle's maybe? I know they sometime's give that to private nights, and it's small enough.

There's a small room in Tripod, don't know what it's called, it's the one to the left before you go into Tripod itself, directly above Crawdaddy, that could be perfect.

Why 30 people by the way? You may as well have a house party for that few people!

there is a polish bar on parnell street, ive been to a few gigs there, its tiny but it would be alright for what you want, and its cheap!!
