not many people sell radios here. you are better off buying in a store. i am looking for new radios too and am going to get a set of two from argos only 60 euro. and on the quays there is cq comms they have throat mics and the lot not bad prices either you can get what you need.

I've got one of these ones that I've used a few times and don't anymore because the in-the-ear thinger doesn't suit the fact that I'm deaf in the other ear so can't hear what's going on off the air. Also I'm not convinced people are hearing me as clearly as with a correctly-used normal mic (although who uses them correctly?) but it's still a lot better than nothing. It's got a nice positive push-to-talk button and a headphone socket so you can use a different listening thing than the clear tube one if you like. Naturally the existing tube thing ear-piece is a bit gross from being in my earhole, but I think there was a spare with it which'll still be in its little bag, unused. It's got a Motorola single-pin connector which works with the Motorola XTNs everyone recommends and various cheap radios which are probably from Lidl and such. If you've got one yet you're welcome to give it a whirl, and I can bring mine and see if I can make out what you're saying.

Afraid not, Sgt.pepper gets first call, which probably won't happen until I get photos up, which won't happen until late tonight at the earliest (depending on how much the beer interferes with my desire to get around to uploading photos), so unless he decides to pass early tomorrow, and you can collect from my house, unfortunately you'll need to figure something else out for tomorrow. Sorry, but such is the nature of Wanted threads rather than For Sale threads.

Come to think of it though, if you're not married to the throat mic idea, I have one of these, never opened, 15 quid as well. Would require collection from my house tomorrow, but I'd hate to see you stuck for the game. Let me know.
