Which of these is the one to buy?

SAAB 9-3 AERO 2.0 T (210BHP version) manual. full leather and all the usual aero kit and xenons.
2006 reg, 60,000 miles, FSH (last service not main dealer), 1 owner, mint condition.
    7,000 sterling plus VRT
cant find any examples here so import is the only option.
also a 2004 one available with the same miles and FSH for just over 6,000 sterling plus VRT.

    BMW 320D M SPORT Coupe
    2005, 50,000miles, fsh, 1 owner
    10,000 sterling plus vrt

VW GOLF GTI MARK V - 3 door
    2005, 50,000, fsh, 2 owners
    11,000 sterling plus VRT!!!

which one will give me the most fun and the least hassle in terms of breaking down, service costs and overall reliability?:D

Golf GTI MkV but buy it in Ireland, much cheaper than UK after you VRT it.

dunno about prices but the SAAB is by far the most interesting of those three

The Saab. Yeah sure the Golf is quicker round a track but Saab is so much cooler. The 3 series is only for people who live in Laois and work in Dublin, they'd love a proper petrol bm but cant afford the petrol. :D It's gotta come down to the Golf or the Saab, the BMW is such a pr!cks car

If anyone owns or has driven the SAAB please post your thoughts as the SAAB is my first choice. I drove the GTI but was dissapointed overall. Yes, its good but based on the topgear reviews I was expecting more and the BMW was more comfortable and felt better to drive especially in the corners. The SAAB I dont know as there are no aero turbos 210bhp for sale in Ireland but most reviews are postive except some concerns about the 2nd to 3rd gear change and some general SAAB reliability issues in some models. Anyway enough waffle, I want to hear what you guys think!

Lol! any reason though why its such an unpopular car? is the fuel economy going to be as bad/worse/better than the GTI?

9-3 Aero doesn't have the kudos that the GTi or 3 Series enjoys. Also Saabs are usually bought by people who are attracted by their quirkiness. Neither the GTi or 3 Series could be described as quirky to be honest.

I'd go with the 9-3 Aero too just because they are not the default choice of the masses.
