Free breaks/loops downloads

I'm looking to experiment with chopping up beats and loops but I'm finding it difficult to find the right beats. Ideally it would be old breaks along the lines of the infamous amen and funky drummer breaks. Is there any online resource which may have old royalty free songs available for download or even any kind of royalty free live drumloops?

dogsonacid.com, have loads of sample packs with old breaks. I have a good few packs on my HDD, I could try uploading them but I wont be able to do that til the weekend.

I downloaded the first 3 links but they are all the same! Good breaks though thanks.

Its one big rar file split into 7 parts. So you need to get all of them and then extract the whole lot. Should come to about 960 megs I think.

Ah ok so once I have them all downloaded do I just extract them all individually? Sorry I'm no pro when it comes to rar files.

No its easier than that, just have all the files in the same folder. Open the first rar file and select everything then extract to somewhere. It will detect the other parts and extract everything from them too.

REALLY handy tip for searching for breaks on Dogsonacid: any thread in their production forum with decent breaks in it will be tagged "breaks2dl" so if you just type that into the search bar you'll get every single decent thread with breaks in it.

Also, search on there for the "donny amen", the 101 breaks pack and the Manzel breaks.

Also, there's a thread on there by a chap called Bluewater who has sampled classic breaks direct from original 7", cleaned them up, done some minimal processing and uploaded them as clean, neatly cut WAVs.
