    Hi,

Has anyone got any experience of these seats? I will be taking my son (5 years old) to school, which is about a 2km ride, and then I'll be going on to work (14km). I have a panier bag, so for that reason and also I thought he'd prefer, I want a front mounted seat. This seems the only one which isn't age restricted to 4yrs.
So does anyone use this with a 5year old and how is it. And how is it cycling like Charlie Chaplin afterwards too.

    Thanks.

Here's a link to see what I'm, talking about:

From the second picture there, it looks as if you shouldn't have trouble with the seat fouling the gear or brake cables on the top tube.

Never used them though. There have been threads on here before which compared top tube-mounted seats, rack-mounted seats and trailers and top tube-mounted were judged to be the least safe, but that doesn't mean they're unsafe. That one seems to reduce the chances of the child going over the handlebars by strapping them in.
