I started kissing a friend of mine last April. From day one he said he would never do a realtionship and never had been in one before. Anyway come September last year he asked me to go out with him officaillay and i said yes it lasted less than a week, he had two timed and them dumped me. I was very upset but we continued seeing each other casually. Come November last year he asked me to go out with him again and i agreed even though I was very sceptical. We have been getting on amazingly we never argue and spend every single night together. So we have been going out now nearly 3 months and I know I am in love with him. He has told me on a few occasions that he loves me but always when he was drinking. He does have issues with feelings as his parents went thrrough an extremely painful seperation. Last weekend valentines was also my birthday and he broght me away for the night. Anyway we were in the oub talking away and the subject of love come up and he said that he has very strong feelings for me and will let me know when he is in love with me. Alarm bells started ringing for me I mean we are together since last April and going out properly for 3 months if he doesnt love me know am I just wasting me time?:(

Lots of guys have problems saying those words, we're generally reluctant to admit such feelings to ourselves and with his history of having watched a marriage fall apart around him, he's probably more wary than most. As long as everything else is okay with ye (which you say it is) then, yes, three months is too early to be getting worried about him not saying it.

Everyone falls at their own pace.

If you were with him a year and he still didn't maybe question it, but you aren't. You were seeing him, but not officially going with him.

Lets face it, for most people the official title of boyfriend or girlfriend tends to allow us to drop our guard a little and allow ourselves to give our all.

I was seeing my current gf for about 7 months before I asked her out. I fell in love with her (or rather I realised I loved her) roughly 4 months later.

I love this girl to bits and would do anything for her...

But until I asked her out, I always held something back.

So stop worrying about time milestones. Love doesn't work that way. Unfortunately both partners do not always fall in love at the same rate etc...

    Just enjoy yourself...

I wouldn't look too much into it - one night after dropping an ex boyfriend home as he was drunk (happy drunk but I had a busy day at work the next day and he didn't) and he texted me to tell me I was mean for dropping him off and then another one a few minutes later telling me he loved me and we never mentioned it and at that stage we were only dating about 5 weeks, so people say things when they are drinking and some say the truth always comes out with alcohol but he is telling you he that he cares a lot for you, so just go with it for the moment.
