I wonder what sort of 'Safe Pass' course you'd have to do to do this stuff?

The Health & Safety inspector would die of apoplexy. :D

Seriously, in all fairness... how cool is this?

Huge big diesel, in a big heavy truck, with loads of black smoke, sweet turbo whistle, 8 wheel drive, deep mud and water and nearly getting stuck in the middle of it all, Heaven!

Is it any wonder people think folk like us are a little bit odd

    Hi , here is my bike , it's a 2003
    Centaurus 851 with a 850 ccm 2 cylinder
Dieselengine with about 20hp , only 50 were built . The fuel consumption is only 2-2,5 Liter Diesel per 100 Kilometer but the most outstanding thing is the incredible sound , I hope . It's a 851 ccm Ruggerini Engine .
    you enjoy it .

Junkers Jumo engines used in some German bombers in WW2 were 2 stroke diesel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Jumo_205

Diesel motorbikes have been developed by the USMC, British Army and others as the every other military vehicle is now diesel. There's been an Indian diesel import around for a while. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diesel_motorcycle
