    Hi,

I'm looking to get an NBA game for my PS3 (cheap) I know there are a few different series (nba live, total nba, etc.)

Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't mind if they are a few years old as long as they are good games.

Im sure i can pick up an old one cheap enough but wanted to check here for advice first.

    Thanks!

Get nba 2k9 or 10 mate! It is far better than live or any other basketball games out there...

Thanks man, rest of the Internet seems to agree with ya! I can get 2K7 for 12 euro but 2k10 looks class with the My Player feature.

Doubt i'll be getting 2k10 cheap tho.

I got NBA 2K9 online for about €15 a couple of months back, where exactly escapes me but it's available cheap enough. Only played it a couple of times but it seems a good game.

Never played Live but from looking into it beforehand, it seemed to be the overwhelming consensus that the 2K games were better.

Most of the American sports games seem to on the american PSN store as demos if you are interested. Id test them before purchasing.

€20 is a cracking deal. I've always played NBA Live in the past, but NBA 2K is fantastic.

Wow! Thanks man, that is a great deal!!!! "Usually dispatched within a month" is a bit off putting but Heavy Rain will be keeping me going for a while i spose.

99p for delivery. Class! Anyone use this site much to order games?

Well, I played the NBA 2K10 demo and it was the most broken game I have ever experienced. I read about the glitches but didn't think I would experience em that much in my first game, specifically the 'ball out of bound glitch' where the ref passes the ball to the player but the player doesn't catch it so the ref runs after it and the process repeats 4 or 5 times!!

However, after searching the internet, I saw there are 2 major patches released to fix almost everything wrong with the game and reviews of the patches are very positive! So I threw down my 20 quid and the game has been dispatched already! (TheHut.com is well handy!)

    Thanks for the advice lads!

Let me know how you find the full game when you get it. I might buy it as well.

Just arrived this morning, took about 3 working days only!
At first, the menu's are very niggly, hard to navigate and find what you want. Played a quick game and i sucked, a lot of controls i don't know!

Started My Player and this makes the game! So much detail into making a player, even the type of layup or leaning shot, loads of variations! (Only thing, it's hard to make a white guy. The lightest skin tone still looks a bit latino.

The mode itself is unreal, really brings me back to my b-ball days where you actually feel like your contributing to the team when you make a good pass and you go mad when you make a stupid shot or hog the ball! My Player is very very addictive! Completely worth the 20 quid. I would suggest to look at the moves in the manual first before perform drills. You have 6 drills to perform, I failed 3 of them and missed out on a load of points and then found out I can't do them again!!

Does any one know if drills reopen at any point and why am I automatically playing for the Jazz!!!

    Excellent game, get it!!
