    hi there:

ok i m going insane here, so just so i dont do anything stupid I m writing here, met this guy we met up a few times, all going pretty well, finally Friday night I came back to his place, and had a wonderful time.
I really think I am actually going to see him again, however i m pretty disappointed that he didn't call today, being valentines and all .
I dont know, I never really cared much for valentines, but since we started off, I though it ... I dont know... I was really hoping he would call or text

    :(

Valentines is a ****ing minefield for new relationships, think of it this way, from his pov you just met, and him ringing or wishing you a happy valentines day may scare you off, I've been there, are have a lot of guys, its a nonsense day anyay, its only there to keep Hallmark going between Christmas and Easter, and its possibly the most UNromantic day there is, honestly whats romantic about telling someone you love them because you HAVE to? And maybe he just didnt get a chance, and tbh what was stopping YOU from ringing HIM? why is valentines all about the guy putting in effort for the girl? its supposed to be about couples, not one person

He was either worried about doing the wrong thing since its too early, not interested at all or just hadn`t a clue its valentines (yes despite everything some people don`t have a clue).

Absolutely no way of guessing which. I wouldn`t do anything if I was you, just wait and see.

Hope you get a text tonight fingers crossed for ye!

i understand that, I wasnt expecting the guy to tell me he loves me, but just something silly, like happy valentines or something, it woulda been sweet, I cant see how anyone could get "scared"with that, but yeah i can see your point
We are all different I guess.
    Thanks for the answers

Maybe he forgot it was Valentine's Day? I did. Some people treat it as the scam it is - maybe he's one of those people? Not something to be "going insane" over, with respect.
Then again, is it the lack of call/text or the lack of Valentine's call/text? I could understand you feeling a bit disappointed he didn't call if it was any Sunday. Why don't you call/text him though?

did you text him with hallmark wishes? if not, you dont really have a leg to stand on.

    relationships are a two-way street

Its a minefield. He might have thought you would have thought he was being to serious, or just didn't know what to say.

    Wouldn't worry about it

Hi OP,i empathise with how you and others felt about Valentines day.
This is proably the most beautiful song ever written about how people feel rejected if they have no partner on the day.The singer just wrote about how She felt at 17,She went on to have a terrific life, not depending on how she felt on one bad Valentines day,She went on to have many great ones!:)
