Assuming you're talking about rugby, no, only football has magical recession escaping abilities

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

The Irish Times, RTE and other D4 tools told me that the grand slam put paid to the recession. remember it distinctly.
I just hope that the fickle financial markets don'tview this loss at rugby as a sign that we're slipping.

Yes, it is. But it's only for two weeks - we'll back into boom years when we beat England. Then, we lose to Wales and the third recession in four months begins. After that, it's Scotland which is too far away to tell, but even if we do win that, the fourth recession will begin when we lose to Brazil at soccer.

After that, I've no idea what economic turns the year will take as I haven't seen the fixture list.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Exactly, the average rugby supporter doesn't experience the recession. Usually just means one less ivory backscratcher in the annual household budget.
