I just caught my pup eating his own poo. Is there something wrong with him? how do we stop him from doing it again?

This is very normal most pups do it, but their breath ain't too pleasant afterwards. Feed the pup a piece of pineapple chunk (tinned pineapple is fine) a bit a day and a gurantee he'll stop eating his poo.

You can also freeze the left over pineapple chunks which are great for pups to chew on when they are teething, so helps their gums and stops them eating their poop all in the same go.

I tried the pineapple trick with my last pup. Worked for a while but then she went back to her old habit.

Now I have to escort her out to the back garden everytime she goes. At least I keep my back garden tidy!

Lol! Please explain, what on earth is the connection there?

Supposedly pups love eating pineapple. When they go for a poo, the digested pineapple leaves an odour in the poo such that the pup is put off from eating the poo. Its works for alot of pups but with my pup it only worked for a while then she went back to her bad habit!

Yup that's how the pineapple is supposed to work. Obviously not all pups/dogs will be the same, someone mentioned a couple of chilli flakes before (but I dunno how they'd affect the tummy).

OP I'd try the mentioned pineapple and just be very vigilant when the pup poops, follow them if you have to.

Our dog used to do that too, white pepper is great! Sprinkle it on the poo, when they go back for a sniff they dont like it! Stopped my dog anyway!
