    Hello there,

    My name is Claire McConnell and I work as PR for Bob Dixon Photography.
    Bob is a Dublin based freelance photographer who has worked on the Irish music scene for over ten years. During this time he has built up an impressive portfolio with a huge array of Irish and International musicians.

    He was recently asked to donate a piece to an upcoming exhibition called 'Exhibition for Goal' which will take place in The Narrow Space Gallery, Clonmel on the 19h of Feb. Bob has donated a beautifully framed and signed portrait piece of Glen Hansard with a combined crowd shot. This piece has generated a huge amount of interest from Glen Hansard/The Frames/The Swell Season fans from all over the world. Because of the huge demand, we have decided to raffle the piece off and from which all proceeds will go towards the fund for Haiti, in association with Goal.
    So far we have raised €500 which is fantastic considering the expo hasn't even opened yet! Check out the press release below;

    30 Artists Come Together To Help GOAL’s Haiti Earthquake Appeal in Charity Exhibition

    Kilkenny based artist Niamh Curry has persuaded some 30 fellow artists, including internationally renowned Gottfried Helnwein and Bob Dixon, to donate works for an exhibition in The Narrow Space Gallery, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, with all proceeds going to GOAL's Haiti Earthquake Appeal. The exhibition opens at 8pm on Friday 19th February 2010 and all proceeds from all sales will go directly to GOAL. So in addition to buying a piece of original art, buyers can know that their money is going to help the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the worst earthquake in the country's history.

    Opening Night promises to be fantastic, with wine, light refreshments and finger food available for guests. A raffle will also be held for a 60” long signed and framed image of Glen Hansard by photographer Bob Dixon - an excellent chance to get a stunning artwork for the price of a raffle ticket! Tickets will be available to buy in the Narrow Space Gallery. If you cannot attend on the night but will still like to be with a chance of winning this beautiful piece, contact Claire McConnell through www.bobdixonphotography.com and payment can be made through paypal. Spot prizes will also be awarded!
    GOAL is an international, Irish founded, charity. For over 30 years they have dedicated themselves to helping those most in need across the developing world. They have responded to almost every man-made disaster since their foundation in 1977. Hours after the earthquake struck in Haiti on January 12th, a Goal team was on the ground and the aid agency is continuing to deliver aid to those most-affected by the tragedy. As the sole benefactor, you can be assured that all money raised in the exhibition will go directly to the people who need it most in Haiti.
    The event organisers Niamh and Mike Curry, Deirdre Barrett, Cathriona Barrett and Ruth Brennan would like to thank all those sponsoring the event, in particular the Narrow Space Gallery Clonmel, for their support.
    The event organisers would also like to thank Gev Barrett for web design and Peter Morrissey for the invitation and poster design
    For more information please visit www.exhibitionforgoal.ie. The exhibition will run until 12 March 2010, and the draw for the raffle will take place on that date.
    The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am - 5.30pm, admission is free and everyone is encouraged to come in and see the work of these 30 generous artists.
