    Hi All,

I'm doing some research on Ballinasloe and St. Michaels Church and I'm trying to find out some history behind it, specifically why the church was named after St. Michael in the first place???

Does anyone have any knowledge on this or maybe point me towards somewhere where I could look this up??

    Thanks!

Do a search on that site as well. There's more there on the church and the town history in general.
