    Rowan (Mountain Ash) is also popular with the birds. Thrushes, Waxwings etc. :)

    Looks like Catoneaster Horizontalis alright.
    Catoneaster isn't native. In areas like the Burren or mountainous or rocky areas it is invasive.
    People shouldn't grow it in these kind of areas as the birds will spread it via their droppings.

    I have some in my garden and the thrush's love it.
    Other trees you could grow, rowan, holly, guelder rose, hawthorn, crab apple, elder (grows very quickly). All of which are native too.
    Native varieties support more insects, good for tits, etc.
