    Hi,

I'm new to the gardening world (recently unemployed, time on my hands etc) I've decided to take an allotment to help pass the time and grow some glorious vegetables for the table. My question to the more experienced gardeners is that I've got access to Hen Manure to use as a compost. Will this be good to use in the allotment? any help greatly appreciated

Yes, but don't use it fresh, it needs to compost for a while or it will 'burn' your plants. I think I recall that you can put some in water for a couple of weeks, then use the water as a liquid fertilizer.
