Hi, its possible that this could serve as a really good sticky, people learning different hymns to praise God with etc etc,

I play guitar, write and sing hymns in Church, I do the traditional stuff, more poppy songs too, and I want to learn more and see if there is anything I'm missing. I'll usually play Catholic, Orthodox and protestant hymns etc etc all the time in Church, but would love to learn more.

to reiterate the beggining of my thread, I feel its a great way for all Christians to learn each others hymns, you can posting from youtube or whatever to help us hear them, so on and so forth, or if you cannot find them on youtube just put them here and we could google them and find them somehow

So far I've been learning hymns from John Michael Talbot, Phil Keaggy, Martin smith and Noel Richards, who are my favorite Christian writers at the moment.

Although this hymn has the feel and doctrinal depth of a Charles Wesley composition, it's actually a very recent composition. The melody was written by Keith Getty, from Lisburn in County Antrim.

Just put the bit after v= ie. in this case FsgwfliQoqg between the tags.

right, I'm gonna try and do the whole facebook tag thing, although I dont think I'll be so succesful at it.

one of my favourite tunes I've heard lately is by Noel Richards and its called ''I wanna see Jesus lifted high''

wait till you hear the solo in the middle, reminds me of me fav artists back in the day such as Oasis and Paul Weller.

"Lord of the Dance" written by Sidney Carter is easily my favourite. A happy and upbeat tune, with lyrics full of joie de vivre, you never get tired of it! "And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be, And I'll lead you all in the dance, said He."
