    Hi!

I'm planning to stay in Dublin later next month and want to stay in one of the D4 hotels, in Ballsbridge. However, I'm just wondering would Ballsbridge Inn be a good place to stay? There's a very good offer on at the moment-but is it a reputable hotel? Any bad stories?

I have stayed in the Skylon during the Summer, was very unimpressed so I've been paranoid about hotels since!:p

    Thanks for your help!:)

i stayed at the ballsbridge inn last week, thought it was ok, we asked for an non-smoking room but the room smelled of smoke when we opened the door, also the room was quite cold, the standard rooms are on the large side though, most certainly bigger than the standard rooms at the skylon, there is a good bar on site too. the hotel is within easy walking distance of the lansdowne road DART stop

I'm not a fan of the place.

I would put it on the same level as the skylon!

I found the place dark, the rooms only o.k. and and the place extremely noisy both times I stayed... there was a party going on in the room next door one of the nights, and none of the staff were helpful in dealing with it.

I would never stay here again. I could put up with the rooms, but the nightly noise - both times.

I would recommend trying lastminute.com. They have top secret hotels which are cheap and it is usually easy enough to work out which hotels they are. I stayed in the Royal Marine in Dun laoighre for about E50 a night and they place was beautiful with swimming pool etc...

The Burlington also have good deals on, and is meant to be nice (have never stayed here).

NOthing wrong with Bewleys Ballsbridge. For 50/60 euro, you are going to get a clean, quiet, comfortable & safe hotel.
