I have a CS 400 cadence sensor. It recently stopped working I have about 7 months or so. The manual says it should be OK for 3500 hours so should not be battery however someone said to me that it could be the battery as it could of been a long time in the box.

Anybody else have problems regard this??? It seems to be the battery to me.

If it is how do I change this. The manual says to bring to your nearest polar distributor but surely there is something I can do myself????

I have a CS300 and the cadence sensor stopped working a few months ago. I finally got around to looking into it. CycleSuperstore, where I bought it, said that the battery was not replacable in the model that I have and left with a bit of a feeling of 'tough sh1t'.

I mailed Polar on the link on this page (http://www.polar.fi/en/support/contact_us/email_polar), explaining my problem, and they asked me to post the cadence sensor to them. I did this the other day so will hopefully hear some good news back from them in the next week or two.

In my experience Polar have average products (problematic at times), but the customer service is absolutely excellent!

There shouldn't be need to have an excellent customer service :D.

I brought a CS400 only two months ago without doing any major research on the competitors, as I have a Polar watch that's very good. It's not reliable (the most important aspect of a bike computer IMO) and in hindsight, I'm p1ssed off I didn't go with the new Garmin GPS watch .

Garmins are great but reliable they are not, if reliable is your #1 concern I wouldn't be beating yourself up that you didn't get a Garmin :pac:

I meant to reply to this the other day. I got my cadence sensor back with a tech note saying something about a short on the board. Put it in and it's working better than ever.

Thumbs up from me for Polar customer service
