I bought my iPhone 18 months ago in America and it has firmware 2.0 I think, I am getting sick off not being able to download some games and apps off the app store, Is there anyway of Updating to 3.0 without restoring, it is my friend who unlocks and jailbreaks it and I don't want to ask him to do it cause he is doing his pres.

    ^ What he said lol

No, your gonna need to do a restore to move up a package and still retain your jailbreak-ability.

If you upgrade by just hitting upgrade on iTunes you'll move up to the very latest package (3.1.3) which theres no current unlock for.

So instead you need to download 3.1.2 and restore to that and re-jailbreak. :pac:
