    Hi everyone

I am writing for some advice regarding maintenance.

Me and my sons father split 8 years ago. he has in total paid around 2 years of maintenance out fo those 8 years,

Almost 2 years ago the father stopped all contact with his son (son age 12 in June) and he has not paid mainteance for years. I went to court in January 2009 and the judge awarded me 140 euro per week.

A summons was sent to the father who now lives in the UK. He runs his own company and recently got married.

To make matters worse, we have land together of which I have been paying the mortgage. I have gone to a lawyer regarding the land and surprise surprise, my ex has now got a lawyer in Ireland and trying to get money from the land, yet he has not come forward for the maintenance.

I went to the courthouse on several occasions and they say it can take ages for the process ( it started in March 2009) I have heard nothing and am wondering is there anything else I can do

I am so angry as he has bothered about the land but not the maintenance and happily advertising on facebook he got married recently

Hope someone can help. If i have to i will pay a lawyer in the uk if it will speed things up

    Thanks

While I sympathise, this is not a legal advice forum. You have a solicitor, so put your questions to him or her. After all that's what you pay them for.
