I just bought a new car and the stereo isn't great at all. It's a Nissan X-Trail 2002.

I'd love to fit a Lidl/Aldi car stereo but I'd also still love to keep the steering wheel controls. Is this possible?

I read your post smart ass. It doesn't mention the Lidl stereo not being capable of using the steering controls. It just recommends a different stereo and states that cheap stereos are cheap.

This is the third Lidl car stereo I've had and I find them great.

So I have to choose now to go with steering controls on my radio or having a Lidl stereo with bluetooth and USB reader.

I find it hard to read your posts. Something about the way you use grammar or spelling. I just thought 'no' was apart of a sentence preceding the next line down. Meaning "No, just use a clarion and look at this post I made in a previous thread about cheap stereos and the ones I recommend. "

In the post you linked to you started that with "Yes". So I just thought it's the style you write in.

the post i linked to asked the question "can i retain steering controls and display"

answer was yes then some explination

yopur post was "can i get the philips/silvercrest lidil radio to work" answer was no with an alternatitive

anyway i'll assume that this is a close as you can get to an apology for calling me a smart arse and i'll stay out of you way from now on. i find it much easier to converse in the spoken word but reading back on my post i still think i was clear i was trying to help.
